Chávez amenaza con no dar petróleo a países europeos que acaten ley de Inmigración

Noticiero Digital (18/06/08-actualizado 06:11pm).- El presidente Hugo Chávez enfiló sus críticas a la ley de inmigración aprobada por el Parlamento Europeo esta semana y amenazó con no enviar petróleo a aquella nación que la aplique, así como aplicar de manera inmediata una “operación retorno” a aquellas inversiones europeas que se realicen en el país.

Durante un acto junto al presidente electo de paraguay, Fernando Lugo, el primer mandatario venezolano señaló que “cada ladrón, juzga por su condición. “Ellos son los que representan el verdadero fascismo, la tiranía, el irrespeto al ser humano y a los derechos más elementales del pueblo”. Asimismo, se preguntó dónde “meterían presos” a “tanto inmigrante”, presumiendo que para ello abrirían “los campos de concentración fascistas y nazis”.

Instó a los países de la región “a los parlamentos independientemente de si somos de izquierda o de derecha, a la OEA, a las Uniones Africanas y lancemos un llamado a que respeten la dignidad de nuestros pueblos”.

Rumours of Venezuelan invasion of Netherlands Antilles

For a moment it seemed that the borders of the Kingdom of the Netherlands were in danger. Venezuelan president Hugo Chávez allegedly wanted to annex the islands of Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao, according to the weekend edition of Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf.

As it quickly turned out, Mr Chávez had made an exception for the ‘ABC Islands’ and actually had his eye on the Aves atoll, which is located in the northern part of the Caribbean basin, not far from Dominica.

The commotion caused by inaccurate news coverage shows that the Netherlands might, against its will, become involved in an ongoing conflict between Venezuela and the United States. What’s more, the Dutch press might, before they know it, become an instrument in the US anti-Venezuelan campaign.
